Chickens in the Neighborhood!
Our neighbors, Shannon and Heith, visited the Amish community and came home with chickens! Yep, chickens in our neighborhood. As Martha Stewart would say...that's a good thing!

Popular Baby Names
I have been making these bracelets for the past year. You can check them out on my etsy shop, there's a link right over there. See it? To the right. Yes that 's it... Anyway thought I'd post a few pics and add a few of the names that seem to be popular with the young mom's right now.
I had a recent order for a mom of triplets! I was so excited to make them for her. She had a special request. Instead of the babies names she wanted the letter L, the letter R, and the letter B.
You have any guesses as to why these letters? She was a breast/bottle feeding Mom. The babies would take turns wearing the bracelets. L for left breast. R for right breast and B for bottle fed. She hoped this would help remember how the babies got their last feeding! She promised to send me pics!
Here are some of the names parents are using:
Jack (of course!), Mia, Tillie, Elise, Patrick, Kerry, Owen, Jacob, Sarah, Lilly, Hope, Will and Jake.
I'll keep you posted on popular baby names every few months!

13 Months-Times Flies!
Here are some pics of Jack this afternoon climbing in and out of his little metal chair. I found it at a thrift store and thought it looked kind of vintage. I ended up spray painting it the same color as his wooden high chair. He wanted to climb in the chair while holding onto his blue ball. Took a few tries but he managed it finally!
Sorry for all the pics but he is so cute!!

Not sure there is room for him and that ball in the little chair! |

He worked hard and finally got the ball! |
not a lot of smiles but he was having a good time! |

Jack's First Hair Cut!
Jack has been really needing a hair cut so Friday the 13th was the day! Marna's friend Jeff Millsaps is a barber, so off the Madisonville they went! That place was bu-sy! I met them there at 3:30 and we didn't pull out of the place until after 5:30! Well, it was a Friday and lots of little boys there after school getting their hair buzzed off for baseball.
Note to self: Do not go on a Friday. Or after all the little boys get off from school.
He loved playing around the shop and didn't cry even once. Of course, Jessie did take him outside a time or two and let him play in the horse shoe pits of the church next door. What could be more fun than that!
And he loved the deer and animal heads that the shop had hanging around. As soon as he saw them he started barking. He thought they were doggies. And he loves his doggies!
Here are a few of the pics that Marna snapped of the big day!

Easter
Yes, I colored Easter eggs, bought Easter grass for an Easter basket. I hid the eggs for Jack and held his hand while he walked around the yard and picked each one up. I bought Reece's for Tanner and peeps for Jessie.
But even so, I know what Easter means to me. Redemption. That I do not deserve.
This is one of my favorite songs. Take time to listen. The last verse says it all.

Easter Eggs
This afternoon I dyed some eggs for Easter. Not sure what I'm gonna do with them. Jack's favorite thing was squeezing one as hard as he could. Let's just say he was successful at cracking the egg!
